    Description

    Sophisticated and elegant art nouveau style porcelain sculpture by Gertrude Donner (1902-1986), famous Hungarian designer and sculptor, from about 1930. In excellent condition.
    Marked with "D" stamp, Drasche Porcelain Company Budapest, and signature on the base.

    Maria Gertrude Donner: Born in 1902, in Bukarest, she has originally studied to be a painter, does pleinair painting. Begins sculpting from 1928, she does mainly porcelain plasticization and small plasty for Drasche and Herend Porcelain companies. Has numerous exhibitions with her husband Miklós Farkasházy (painter). Designer for Drasche from 1937.
